All names and details below are fictional. The date and terms are illustrative business choices, not statutory requirements.

Recalculate before reuse
The arithmetic is 10 × 400 + 800 = 4,800; discount 4,800 × 10% = 480; net 4,800 − 480 = 4,320; deposit 4,320 × 50% = 2,160. The deposit is part of the HK$4,320 price, not an extra HK$2,160 charge. This example does not prescribe tax treatment: replace or add tax, freight and other amounts only as appropriate to your actual transaction.
In a spreadsheet, keep quantity, unit price, discount and total in separate cells. Review displayed rounding as well as the stored calculation. Export the final document to your chosen customer format and reopen it to check that columns and terms remain readable.

These are practical recommendations, not a statement that every field is legally compulsory in Hong Kong. Add identifiers needed by your own company, customer or applicable requirements; this guide makes no claim that a template determines legal enforceability.
Pick the simplest tool that fits
For occasional work, a document or spreadsheet template can be enough: protect the master, issue a PDF copy and keep the accepted revision. When the same customer, product and price data are re-entered frequently, consider a quotation system.
Odoo 19's quotation documentation describes a customer and product-line workflow. App availability, plan and permissions must be checked in your deployment. A software subscription does not include APAA configuration services. The official pricing FAQ explains the selected-app/dependency boundary of One App Free; do not assume every extra application remains free.
Check the issued version and next record
Before sending, confirm the customer, revision, total, currency, scope, delivery trigger and bank instructions. After acceptance, preserve the accepted document and record the reference on the order. Accepting a quotation is not evidence of bank receipt.
For a documented application workflow, continue to your first Odoo quotation, then invoicing from a sales order. Those steps depend on the agreed invoicing policy; they do not mean every confirmed order is automatically invoiced or paid.
